My second time ordering from Honest Bee was, to be honest, no better than the first time. I do like that their website has such a wide selection of products from the various stores (Cold Storage, FairPrice, Da Paolo, Butchers' Dog). However, when you order from the different stores, you have to select different timings for the items. Ie, buying from 3 different stores will require you to select 3 different delivery times. I wish they could pack all the items together and deliver them at 1 time, like they do at RedMart.
Moreover, when my shipment was sent (my Cold Storage batch was 4 hours late, they delivered to me at 11PM!), 4 items could not be delivered. They only told me that one product was not going to be delivered, but the other three items? Radio silence... I don't even know if they charged me for those or not.
I contacted them via their online form (no direct phone number) and was told that I'd get a response in 1 hour. 24 hours later, still no response! No call, no nothing. Customer Service needs A LOT OF WORK, and their first step should be calling customers back with concerns/questions.
I was recommended to try a popular brand from Canada, Belly Buttons & Babies, which just began selling in Singapore on Dububaby.com. Having read all the good reviews about it from users in Canada and elsewhere, I decided to try it.
With my son's hypersensitive skin (he is prone to eczema), there are very few products that I use on his skin as several products cause him to flare up. However, when I tried the body wash, shampoo, and body lotion range from Belly Buttons & Babies over three days, it seemed to agree with him and kept his skin well-moisturized.
In my opinion, the products are similar to Aveeno Baby's range however they feel lighter (less greasy) which are more suitable to Singapore's humid environment. I would recommend it for babies and mother's with sensitive skin, for sure, and I would love to hear how other's feel about the Belly Buttons & Babies range too!
Kerry and Mase offers the cutest range of babies and children's clothing that are also really special and unique. I ordered a pair of baby gold moccasins for my niece and was highly impressed by the quality, fit and look of the shoes. I had the shoes shipped to Australia which costed an extra few dollars and I was ok with since I didn't find any online stores in Australia selling a similar pair of shoes.
Kerry, the owner of Kerry and Mase, was really helpful through the shopping process. The original pair I ordered were sold out, and she promptly emailed me the next day offering alternative items for my selection. Once I chose the pair I wanted, she shipped it out the next day. Great customer service!
A great online store for children's gifts or items for your own precious ones.
Firstly, Honest Bee has a really wide selection of products from several stores throughout Singapore. Great! The website is very easy to buy from and payment was swift.
My problem with Honest Bee was that when I put in my order, I received confirmation that my order would be delivered the next day. I was elated that the diapers, formula and other items I ordered would arrive by the next day.
BUT in the morning a customer service person advised that the two things I most wanted (diapers/formula) were sold out. They said they could try other branches to source for the products but if I wanted them to check other stores, I'd have to order it again online. What a pain! Ineffective and time consuming which I wasn't happy and just canceled my order.
I get annoyed with online stores which advertise products when in reality it is sold out. Not sure if I will order from them again... perhaps in the future when they have made their processes smoother without disappointing shoppers.
If you've ever visited a Muji store, it's an haven for simple yet practical products for the home. LOVE! Muji's online store basically has the same amount of products on their site as they do at their physical stores around Singapore. I bought lots of plastic shelves and cabinets for storage which were delivered within 3 days. So happy as I didn't have to go to the store and carry all the bulky items home. On the Muji online store, the sales are really good too with some products at 75% off.
Free shipping for home products for orders over $50 (yay!) and $250 for big furniture purchases.
I stumbled upon the Waist Trainer after seeing it on an episode of the Kardashian's (please shoot me), and decided to give it a try as there are several testimonials claiming that it helps to shrink waist lines!
The item was delivered within 5 days from the US - Singapore (shipping cost: US$36.30) and I was impressed by the speed of receiving it.
However, having ordered the wrong size, I emailed them to find out how I can exchange it. The customer service person was really rude and insisted that it was my correct size. We had a debate for 4 emails and her final email to me was, "It fits, you need help [to get it on]..." and that's it. How rude and abrupt. I haven't had a chance to reply to her email but at this point, I feel like even if I did, I would not get a good/helpful response from them, and an exchange would be impossible. Customer service needs significant improvement before I would recommend this site to shop at!
Recently I've gotten into feng shui and have found that Feng Shui mega mall has the widest range of feng shui products at decent prices. It stocks the popular Lilian Too books which I bought at 50% off as well as other amulets. Super impressed by shipping (to Singapore cost $10) as it arrived in 2 days by priority mail after I ordered it. It's my new go-to store for feng shui products :)
Short Story has unique trinkets, lifestyle products and decor which you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Their products feel personalised and special, with a Japanese-inspired twist to each item.
For my sister's house warming gift, I bought a large world map frame with a cute origami design which she loved. They even wrapped it up nicely and included a hand written card which was a nice touch since it was a gift.
Since then, I've bought some other items like a lamp, diffuser and some children's lights - free shipping throughout Australia, so why not! Would shop there again for myself or as a gift.
If you're looking for stylish, girly and affordable fashion pieces, I recommend checking out Vain Glorious You. I bought 2 dresses to wear for a friend's wedding and was very happy with what I got.
My only comment is that their sizes run on the smaller side, i.e., I had to order a L even though I am an M at most other places.
Nonetheless, the quality of the two pieces I bought were fine. Would definitely shop there again after this experience.
I was always seeing ads of Rosewholesale on my Facebook wall so I decided to try it out. What a disappointment...
Despite having thousands off products at very cheap prices ($5-$50), the quality of the items are literally rubbish. I bought four items and there was something wrong with each of them. Either the seams were loose, colours were different, clothing was either too big or small even though they had sizes, and that's just to name a few problems with them.
I'll return all of the items I bought as none of them are wearable in my eyes.
Buying from Rosewholesale is pretty much like flushing your money down the toilet. They need to do a whole lot better before they see another cent from me.
