I first learnt about Saught after interviewing the founders in my capacity as a freelance writer. The idea of using the metal from unexploded war ordnance in Cambodia to make jewellery was very novel, and I was immediately motivated to purchase pieces to support this social enterprise.

In addition to the Hammerhead Shark Cufflinks, I also purchased the Integrity Ring. Unfortunately, when the latter arrived, it didn't fit any of my (fat) fingers. That was soon resolved by writing to Saught and alerting them to my conundrum - they immediately offered a complimentary exchange in the correct ring size.

I'd definitely consider shopping on this site if I need to get a unique gift for someone.

What I love most about this online store is that at the heart of every piece of jewelry is a story of peace, love and hope. I am not just buying any ordinary piece of jewelry, I am supporting a social enterprise in advocating freedom from war, freedom from fear and freedom from poverty. Each piece is beautifully designed and lovingly handcrafted by local artisans in post conflict countries made from landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs). The website is well laid out and beautifully designed to help tell its powerful social story and of course ordering online is so very easy.
