I bought some stackable shelves way back in March as a gift. Didn't seem to arrive in the promised 2-3 weeks. Called after that period, was told that they would check and reply after that. A few days later, I was informed that they had no stock and would expect for shipment mid May. I'm not sure how most consumers react to not being informed on delays until way past the dateline not on initiative but let's see how it goes.
May 11, checked with them and they said they would get their stock late next week.
Today (late next week) I e-mailed them to check for response in the morning. No reply yet and it's the end of the day. I was wondering if I'm the only one experiencing such a poor purchase experience so I searched on the net and arrived here. I guess it's just an everyday norm and they have backlogs and unfulfilled orders so my order is just one of the many.
Obviously not a happy customer.

We're so sorry about this delay and even more so when we know its meant as a gift. Unfortunately we encountered an unexpected manufacturing delay on this item and hence we have to push back delivery to early June at this moment. If you would like me to help you with the refund, please let me know your order number and I would process it as soon as possible. Based on my recent purchase, I was very happy that I get to make my selection from the website before going down to the show room at The Cathay to finalize my purchase. When we were there, we are glad that the staff is able to help us with a few things -especially in making the decision which sofa to get. There are a lot to choose from!

So we then made our purchase from one of the store's check out corner. The staffs at the show room are really friendly. They even come and ask if we need help checking out. I'm really impressed!

I am VERY happy with my purchase. :)

terrible service that do not seem to improve

I am writing to officially express my unhappiness over the service that is rendered by HipVan. Below are the chronological details of my ordeal from purchase till “delivery”:
16 April: Bought two items- Order #130157
• Received confirmation mail, sstimated ship out from warehouse by 30 April
• 1 hour later, received another confirmation mail- Order #130162
o Doesn’t belonged to me
17 April:
• Called customer service to verify the wrong order (#130162)
• I was told that it is due to technical glitch and told that it had rectified.
Till date, the order still appeared at my tracking list but under a different address. Praying hard that it is not charge under my account
2 May:
• Called their hotline again, claimed that the delivery team will call me on that day or the day before delivery on 5 May
5 May:
• Called again to enquire if the delivery arriving. Staff claimed will revert
• 1600hrs, no one picked up the phone call with numerous calls diverted to Singtel operator
• 1645hrs, finally answered and was told that she will call revert 15minutes later again
• 1830hrs received a call and was told that the delivery can only arrived on 7 May between 1-5pm
7 May:
• Received a call at 1715hrs. Was told the goods will arrive in 25minutes
• Hooray!! Was really short-lived. The dining table delivered was a wrong item from the one I ordered. The delivery team told me that they could not do anything. Told me to wait and the customer service team will call me today.
9 May
. goods supposed to arrive. Scheduled delivery 1430hrs to 1730hrs. Guess what? arrived at 2115hrs with wrong goods again!!! Waited in vain for just one dining table.

Till date, i was the one who keeping chasing them for a reply. Not sure whether i will received my table today... Kindly think twice and thrice before you order from them.
U can order if you have time to chase and wait in vain

Frustrating Experience and Waste of Time

I have had an extremely frustrating experience with receiving (or rather, not receiving) a delivery from hipvan. I received a call from a customer services rep confirming if they could deliver on the morning of 03/05/17 and I asked for the absolute earliest time they could deliver, due to work commitments, and they said 930am. The day before the delivery I was told the delivery would be from 930-1230pm, I responded to say please deliver between 930am-10am the latest. After a now show by 1030am, I called customer services several times, to no avail most times. The two times I did get hold of them they said they would check with delivery man and get them to call me back to confirm the time of delivery. This of course did not happen. The delivery man eventually arrives at 1.30pm to find that the product had a defect so the product had to be re-ordered, which takes another 10-14 business days! I was infuriated for having wasted half a day waiting for a delivery man that was late and could not even deliver the product in the end. Calling customer services was also a complete waste of time. I expected Hipvan to be a professional company with professional service but I was proven so very wrong. I was told they would check on how they can compensate, but given how they've run the show so far, I would be very surprised if they actually did call back offering any form of compensation. Do not waste your time ordering online with Hipvan.

Think Twice, Thrice

To anyone considering to order something from HipVan, please do think twice, thrice and more. The service is absolutely absurd and I'm really questioning the internal communications within the team. I ordered a chair and received a confirmation email detailing that the estimated date of arrival will be on 3-4 days later. Positive and expecting it to arrive within that timeframe, I had taken time off work so I could personally tend to it when it arrives. After waiting through the weekend and checking my emails to no avail, I called the HipVan hotline to enquire about my purchase. First up, the staff handling the call asked whether I received an email to notify me about the delivery as it's supposed to be a protocol but no, I never did receive anything beyond the initial confirmation email. Frustrated as I've been waiting an entire week, I asked when exactly is my order arriving and was told that it will only arrive the next Wednesday. Next I asked whether it's possible to forward the delivery to an earlier day and was told that they could only do it a few days earlier. Following that I asked whether it's possible to deliver it within the morning as I can no longer afford to spend an entire day waiting for my shipment and of course, the answer was no if wanted an earlier delivery but yes if i stuck with the "original" shipping date. I surrendered and just duly waited for my shipment. Come arrival day, the shipment is here within the expected timeframe (oh yay finally) but hours later, another shipment arrives? I tried to contact someone from HipVan to address the confusion but of course, couldn't reach the hotline.

Firstly, they take ages (3 weeks) to deliver what was supposed to be available to ship in 4-5days. Later, what's delivered is in a horrible color that you wouldn't want to see in your worst enemy's house. They say that they can't change the color because the merchandising is fixed; completely the opposite of the information that was shared in their Cathay store and not what we ordered at all. Terrible experience and have half made up my mind to take them to a consumer court.

It's recently become a real lottery when you will get the stuff you order online from Hipvan. They often don't have the stock they advertise and there can be significant delays (months) over and above the promised delivery times. A real shame, because they have fun stuff, but they are way too unreliable. Thrice burned, buying somewhere else.

    Order already cancelled and account closed (not that your website allows customers to close their own accounts, which is not great in terms of compliance with data protection requirements. Now the long wait to get my $800 back. There was no delay in debiting that from my credit card!

Absolutely unreliable and incompetent people manage Hipvan, do not expect to get what you purchased, you might just end up losing your money and precious time trying to get what you paid for!
They scheduled a total of FOUR FAKE DELIVERIES for us across 3 Months, causing us to lose 4 precious weekend times waiting for nothing! And they CANNOT BE CONTACTED during weekends, leaving you distressed and waiting for more than 6hours each time!
After raising the issues to their consecutive no-show of scheduled deliveries, their ops manager BRYNA said she will make sure to solve the issue but to no avail. Their telecommunicators would always be assuring and telling you 'i'm so sorry about this' or 'i'm going to contact you' or 'i'm going to make sure to schedule' is all BULLSHIT. Don't fall for that. From my experience it seems the company is fond of conjouring up cock and bull stories to cover their faults and never rectify anything but just waste more of your time!
Another manager stepped up most recently to 'solve' the issue and to applogize for the distress, offered to 'give me a 50% disc and refund the money back to my card'. Well, you guessed right it was another big lie! Didn't get the money back, delivery didn't happen AGAIN.
Potential buyers beware of this shop as they LACK INTEGRITY and CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Apparently I'm not the only person who had to go through this horrible experience here. Please do research and read the majority of the reviews here before falling into their trap! Their furnitures are nice but you might just have to go through HELL and not get what you paid for!
Their FB has got the negative comments removed and it is a FALSE IMAGE. I'm glad that Shopventure is here to allow for us to speak the truth about this unethical company.
HIpvan has commited countless breaches in sales from the evidence of majority of their customers, and I am hoping to raise this up to authorities.
