I just got married not too long ago and at the same time, received keys to our flat. Given that my husband and I are both busy at work, we didn't have much time to head down to physical stores to get furniture for our home. My friend briefly mentioned HipVan once and I decided to visit the website to get a clearer picture of what the website was about. When I visit the website, I was pleased that there was a whole range of products that I could choose from. I love most of their products and took some time before I could decide which items to get. The products were delivered promptly and the quality of their products were great! Would recommend my friends and family to get furniture pieces from them in future :-)

I'm a fan. I've been shopping on Hipvan for about 2 years now but it was mostly smaller quirky things. But I think recently they have ramped up on their own furniture which looked very nice. Timing was just right as I moved into a new house. I decided to give it a shot. I usually don't write reviews but I thought I should this time cos really my house looks like a hipvan showroom (they should approach me!) with their dining set, sofa, chairs, mattresses, curtains, cutlery. hahah! I just couldn't stop buying. I've placed like 20 orders with them. I've read a lot about their CS but luckily I didn't have any issues. It worked out all smooth. Delivery guys were nice too - helped me set up even the self assembly items. Now the problem is my house is complete - I don't know what else to buy. lol

I've been shopping with HipVan for a while now, and haven't had too many problems with them. In fact, I've been very pleased with their service. Of course, the drawbacks of shopping online is that you don't exactly get what you see sometimes and there would be the case of items going out of stock. That's probably something you already knew before you ordered online, anyway. Thankfully, that hasn't happened to me more than twice while shopping with them, and I always get exactly what I see on their website.
I'm not too fussy about shopping with them; haven't had the displeasure as what the other reviewers here have stated. Their customer service team have constantly maintained a steady and prompt response with me. I managed to get them to hold back the delivery of my LEVITATE mattress by a month last year and it is still, by far, *the* BEST bed I've slept in so far. Everyone should get a LEVITATE mattress!!!!

Their service team is also quite prompt with the refunds, they basically just emailed me about it and cancelled it off - sometimes they would give me an alternative to choose from, which is nice! - and either refund me the difference or get the alternative sent out to me immediately.
Speaking of deliveries, the delivery teams from HipVan itself are very polite and friendly! Very easy-going and happy people, and it made the wait for the delivery so much better. I would totally continue buying from them! :)

I accidentally ordered something in the wrong quantity and only realized it the next day. Went back to my account and found that the order had not shipped so I wrote in requesting to cancel the product. I received an automated email first but the customer service team responded very promptly after that within hours! Cancellation and refund after that was a smooth process :)

The customer service team was very quick to reply-- the person I spoke with efficiently arranged a specific date and time for the delivery to arrive at my home. I was able to receive my pieces after I returned from my short, but sudden, trip to Hong Kong!

When the delivery arrived, the team was very helpful and caring to my needs. I am very satisfied with the quality of the products and the efficiency and genuine care that the HipVan team has for its customers.

Can't wait to order again :)

I had to write a review as I was initially apprehensive to shop at HipVan after reading the reviews here. I have made 4 orders to date. The first order included 4 items, of which one was cancelled as HipVan was not able to deliver as expected and they offered me to cancel the item which I did in the end. The second order was during a Sale and all items arrived as planned :)
The third order was eventually returned as I felt that the furniture was too large for my space (they have a 14 day returns policy which was a BREEZE! Customer service was nice and all. The only hiccup was that they forgot to refund me till I emailed them but all was smooth!) I am currently awaiting for my 4th order to arrive :)

I would say that HipVan is like a one stop furnishing and more store where they invite local furniture/deco sellers to list on their site. However, customer service was breezy as I receive my replies the next working day!
Moreover, they often have a 15% off promo code which makes shopping there even sweeter :)

Loving HipVan for their 14 day return policy!

HipVan gave us a call to tell us what we ordered was going to be delayed; which we agreed to with the late delivery and changed our plans to accommodate. So with the new date and time given, we just spent the whole afternoon waiting for the sofa bed to show up but it did not come. No calls or emails. Unprofessional, poor customer service. A serious waste of our time.

*Update 21/4/2016 *
I thought it fair to edit this review in light of what has happened. We had to go overseas for an holiday and could not receive the sofa bed in the coming week but we left a message with HipVan on facebook which they responded quite quickly and they managed to get in touch with our family to have the sofa delivered 3 days after. Apparently the confusion is with the company doing their delivery that misinformed them about the dates. It's a poor excuse but we're just glad that the sofa bed is here and we didn't have to wait to long for it.

The furnitures are decent but they need to seriously fix their delivery... I would tell any consumer considering ordering from HipVan to take this into serious consideration so you don't waste your time waiting for things that will come late.

Ordered an ottoman on Feb and the stated delivery date is on 26th March. On the 27th, still no call/email to inform me about the late delivery.

After I emailed and asked about my ottoman when is going to be delivered, their passive customer service staff reply my email that they just received news that the item that I ordered was currently in the midst of a restock and delivery to me would be delayed.

Delay is fine and I asked for the confirmation date of delivery. Still, no reply after one week!!

Not only upset me and turn me into an angry customer.

Second time ordering from HipVan and I can attest service is terrible. Getting someone on the phone let alone to return a phone call is nearly impossible. This time around I ordered a lamp that wasn't inexpensive. When it arrived, not only did it look cheap, but it also didn't work. Getting it picked up was a real headache and took me several attempts to speak to someone over several days. A complete waste of time. One woman I spoke to had the worst attitude and hung up on me mid-question. If you value your time, and don't want crap in your home, don't bother with HipVan.

I've purchased dining chairs for my new home, hence called to change to later delivery date due to renovation work not done and no one is there to receive goods. The customer service lady said will call me back, waited for few days but didn't! I called up again to check on status, again told me to wait for their arrangement. Few days later, the delivery man called my mobile saying he's on his way! Panicked as I'm at work, leaving with no choice, I have it sent to sis place asking her helper to receive for me.
Understand that goods and delivery is outsourced to another company. The delivery man even told me that Hipvan is always like that, which he hates to delivery their products. So if you gonna order from them, make sure you will be around to receive and do not order in advance as they have worst ever customer service!!!!!
